Just a coder, I suppose ...

Hi, my name is Tony Gorez, I'm a javascript engineer based in Paris _

I spend most of my time on the web aiming to understand how it works. By this means I became a full time developer. I don’t have a classic computer science background. I just started coding a few hours on my rainy Sunday afternoon. Then I was coding at mornings (before work), then at lunch time too, then before bedtime too.

I like solving problems as much as coding. Every time I use javascript libraries (like ReactJs or ExpressJs), I’m trying to understand the “how” and the “why”. More than just for personal curiosity, I want to be able to choose the right solution for the right problem. This is for me the best definition of what an engineer is.

Javascript is becoming my new playground, and modern server side libraries are my new toys. For the last 2 years I have worked on a Slack like app that provides video and audio call in white mark. Thanks to this background, I explored different ways to design front end applications surrounded by senior javascript engineers.

In addition to my full time job I spend a part of my free time on monitoring open source packages and try them in my local environment. I am aware of subjects such as distributed systems and browser peer communication.

Hope to see you on GitHub or Medium.
